He raised his hands in the air, his face streaming with sweat as he fearfully stared at the gun she held pointed at him.
“What are you doing with the gun, Precious?”
“What does it look like?” Precious moved closer to him. Prince moved back, his movement hindered by Clara cowering behind him in fear.
“Precious, I can explain please put the gun down. It’s not what you think?”
“Explain? Explain what? That you have been cheating on me with this bitch? What do you want to explain?”
“I—I am sorry baby, I—I didn’t mean …”
“Oh shut up! You think I don’t know of all your escapades with the different girls in the different parts of the country when you go on your business trips?” Precious looked at Clara, her friend hiding behind Prince.
“And you, my friend, sleeping with my husband? Don’t you dare say a word there.”
“Precious, baby, come on l—let’s talk.”
She looked in her husband’s face as she cocked the gun. “I gave you five years of my life. I gave up everything for you. My family disowned me because of you. This is what you pay me back with? Well, dear husband, this is the last time you make a fool of me.”
She pointed the gun at Clara, her friend and shot her. She pointed the gun back at her husband and shot him in the forehead.
She looked at their bodies on the hotel rug, their blood flowing and mingling together.
She spat. “You can take your riches to hell with you Prince.”
