Koye glared at her. In his mind, he didn’t understand what she was at. Last night, she’d cuddled up with her iPad and giggled till he walked out of the room and slammed the door. She hadn’t complained. Or maybe she didn’t notice. Tough.
Now she pumped up her feet in a type of a march, and counted … six, seven, eight, nine… A fart escaped and he gasped. Lucy laughed. She actually laughed. She hadn’t laughed for four days. Since she discovered he had a secret account. Really tough. His explanation for keeping the account to give her a birthday bash hadn’t sailed. It wasn’t his first time of lying to her.
Her laughter gave him the opportunity to break the ice. He laughed too. And hers came to an abrupt halt.
“What are you doing?”
She counted. “10, 11, 12…”
“15, 16, 17, 18…19…”
He joined in. “20.”
She yelped. “Yes.”
Next she grabbed her iPad and typed away.
“Don’t cut me off, love.” He looked at the screen. “Who are you chatting with?”
“My class girls. Wonderful ladies who tell me the truth.” She jumped from the bed, and strutted away.
Koye loved her strut. “I love you too!” He called out but heard the bathroom door slam.
She’ll be back. He unbuttoned his shirt, and then his trousers. He found her KY gel in her wardrobe and threw it on the bed. When she walked in, he was going to jump her. A lazy smile played around his lips.
